 JAZZTIME LABRADORS consists of Larry and Anna Calvert and a group of black Labrador retrievers.  We are located in the beautiful Mission Valley of western Montana.  Our main focus is training for and running retriever field trials; however, we have  run our dogs in the NAHRA hunt tests and in the APLA pointing events.  Our dogs are hunted in the fall after the field trial season ends. We do all our own training although we do train with various pros at times.


 

At the present we are training 5 Labrador retrievers:             

  • FC-AFC-CFC-CAFC-GMPR-MHR Jazztime Last Chance v Pekisko (“Chance”)
  • Jazztime Bluegoose’s Skatch (“Skatch”) who is transitioning to the All-Age
  • Our two young dogs:

                   Jazztime Super Delegate (“Soupy”) and Jazztime Bluegoose’s Ruger (“Ruger”)

  •  Our youngest  puppy:

                  Jazztime Cut to the Chase (“Chase”)

 

In 2006, we lost FC-AFC-CFC-CAFC Jazztime's Frequent Flyer "Trip" (National Finalist 7 times).  He was 13 years old, and he went peacefully.  We miss him terribly, but know that he had a long, productive life.  He has wonderful offspring all over the country and Canada.  

 We lost AFC-CFC-CAFC Chugach Hills Jazz's Rascal in the summer of 2004; he was 14 and a half.  Offspring of both Trip and Rascal are doing well in field trials, hunt tests and as gun dogs.  Both have produced offspring that are natural pointers.

We usually have one or two gun dogs for sale around the beginning of hunting season.

We offer top quality studs who have produced pups that have done well as field trial retrievers, hunt test dogs, pointing Labradors, gun dogs and as all around family dogs.
